The F Troop Activation Ceremony was just held by the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment in Fairbanks,  Alaska at Fort Wainwright.   Ron Mattioli and I,  former members of F Troop, 17th Cavalry were privileged to be part of the activation ceremony.  There could have been no greater honor to the two of us than to have been there with the proud and outstanding new members of the troop as this former combat unit was brought back to life.   Our humble thanks goes to the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry and F Troop, 6th/17th for their kindness, respect and friendship in sharing with us, this greatest of honors.
